As many of you may be aware, many of our neighbors have begun sheltering at home out of fear of having a violent interaction with ICE agents. For those affected, it has become difficult to get to work and school. With utility bills coming due, many have started to wonder how to make ends meet. While ECC still encourages those struggling with their bills to apply for energy assistance, we recognize that for many people that is not viable or, in some cases, sufficient. Working in partnership with our friends at the Citizens Utility Board of Minnesota, ECC has launched a fundraiser for emergency utility bill relief.
Awards of $500 will be available for residential customers and grants of $1000 will be available for commercial customers. Everyone is welcome to apply, but priority will be given to those with the largest arrears or who are at the greatest risk of disconnection.

More details will be released soon for those seeking assistance.
